By accessing or using CanScan.ca ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2 Description of Service

CanScan provides AI-powered analysis of skin mole images. The service:

• Analyzes uploaded images using artificial intelligence
• Provides preliminary assessments based on dermatological criteria (ABCDE method)
• Generates risk assessment reports
• Sends results via email

The Service is intended for informational and educational purposes only and should not be relied upon for medical decisions.

3 User Responsibilities

By using CanScan, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information and valid email addresses
• Upload only images of your own skin or images you have permission to use
• Not upload inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
• Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Consult a healthcare professional for any medical concerns

4 Free and Paid Services

Free Scan: Each user is entitled to one free scan per email address. This allows you to experience the full service before purchasing additional scans.

Paid Scans: Additional scans require payment through our secure PayPal integration. Prices are displayed at the time of purchase and may change without notice.

Refund Policy: Due to the instant delivery of digital analysis services, refunds are generally not provided once an analysis has been completed. If you experience technical issues that prevent you from receiving your analysis, please contact us.

5 Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of CanScan, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the exclusive property of My Vision Media AI Labs and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our Service without explicit written permission.

6 Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using CanScan, you consent to:

• Collection and processing of your uploaded images for analysis
• Use of anonymized image data to improve our AI models
• Storage of your email address for service delivery
• Receiving your analysis results via email

7 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• CanScan and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any analysis
• We are not responsible for any medical decisions made based on our analysis
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service

8 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CanScan, its operators, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any content you submit to the Service

9 Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of our Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

• Perform maintenance that temporarily affects service availability
• Modify or discontinue features without prior notice
• Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

10 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
